From Idea to Impact: Understanding the Storytelling Journey I know firsthand what it takes to transform a simple idea into something deeply resonant and meaningful. Afros and Knives began as a concept—an exploration of the untold stories of Black women in food, beverage, and hospitality—and grew into an award-winning podcast that has amplified voices, shaped narratives, and built community. The interviews I conducted were not just conversations but moments of discovery, helping others define, elevate, and own their stories. This is the same approach I bring to my clients—guiding them through the process of uncovering, shaping, and sharing their narratives in a way that leaves a lasting impact. My passion for audio storytelling extends beyond client work—I create projects that explore narrative, sound, and the power of voice.

Black Material Geographies is a collection of conversations and stories using Blackness and textile material culture to explore how we can create more sustainable systems and processes amid global climate crises and lifestyles deeply entrenched in global capitalism. This show projects “Blackness” into the past to understand the material cultures of our present and the possibilities for a more sustainable future.
